Our Happy Hound groomers are fully certified by the International Professional Groomers Association, either having completed or in the process of completing their International Master Groomer testing and certification.Our groomers have been grooming at Happy Hound for many years and have a wonderful, loyal clientèle. They are kind, loving, highly skilled groomers. Happy Hound puts the emphasis on Quality, not Quantity. We do not believe in over booking our groomers and they work at a pace comfortable for themselves and their dogs. We have seen, and fixed, the results of too many examples of "chop shop" grooming over the years, get em' in, get em' out mentality which can cause a pet to hate the grooming experience. We offer cage free grooming, with our grooming dogs interacting with our daycare dogs. They are supervised at all times and have full access to the outdoor areas. We realized many years ago that the dogs enjoyed the grooming experience so much more when they were cage free and allowed to walk around and interact with the staff and the other dogs. However, we can absolutely accommodate dogs that do require separation, either in a kennel or in a quiet area.

We groom all breeds and are happy to groom to breed standard or can modify any cut to suit the dog and owners taste and lifestyle.

From a low maintainence "Smoothie" clip to a fluffy "scissored trim" (often called a Teddy Bear or Puppy cut) to the important details on all breed standard haircuts, we have the skill and experience to make your dog look and feel wonderful!

We use only high quality products and equipment and have a full line of products available for your dogs unique coat and skin requirements.

We will gladly demonstrate the tools and methods we suggest to help you maintain your pets coat and care at home to make the grooming experience a pleasant one for all.

GROOMING RATES are based on a combination of things, breed, size, coat, clip, condition and temperment. Due to the large variance in all of the above it is impossible to quote exact rates over the phone. If you have a small Shih Tzu in great condition vs. a very large Shih Tzu with matts, a skin condition, fleas, who is aggressive, it can be a completely different groom and time frame. 

As all breeds come in a wide variety of size, coat, condition and temperment we can give you a "starts at" quote on the phone. We welcome you to drop by our location at 4408 Boban Drive(see location page) and we can give you a more exact quote.

NAIL CLIPPING: DROP IN MONDAY TO SATURDAY  9 to 4    small breeds $ 8.00, large $ 10.00
